You don’t live with your loved one, but regularly visit them to ensure their well-being and have trouble balancing your personal and professional life with the support you are providing?
You live with a senior in need of supervision or help with everyday tasks, and don’t want to leave them alone at home as you worry for their safety?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, and your loved one is over 65, our in-home respite service is for you:
In-home respite
- A safe presence during your absence;
- An in-home assessment conducted to properly define your and your loved one’s needs;
- Stimulating activities based on the interests, capacity and pace of your loved one;
- A single caregiver assigned to you to provide stability and foster the development of a trust relationship with your loved one and communication with you;
- A very affordable rate based on the income of your loved one;
- No commitment and the ability to choose frequency based on your needs, up to a maximum of 24h per month;
- A service available 7 days a week, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.;
- Trained and qualified caregivers so you can confidently go about your daily activities.

When you have to leave for professional, family or health reasons, do you have help to care for your loved one?
Your loved one is independent enough to live alone, but you must visit them daily or several times a week to ensure their well-being, which prevents you from taking a break or going away on vacation?
If one of these situations applies to you, and your loved one is over 65, our vacation respite service is for you:
Vacation respite
- A safe presence that meets the schedule and routine of your loved one;
- A daily 3-hour presence for a maximum of 14 days;
- An in-home assessment conducted to properly define your and your loved one’s needs;
- A caregiver assigned to you to provide stability and foster the development of a trust relationship with your loved one and communication with you (two caregivers on a rotating basis if more than 5 days);
- A very affordable rate based on the income of your loved one;
- Trained and qualified caregivers so you can go away without worry.
Through funding from l’APPUI aux proches aidants d’aînés, we can provide the service at an affordable cost ranging from $6.20 to $12.20 per hour, based on the user income.
