Receive financial assistance. Seniors 70 and over qualify for a tax credit for home-support services for up to 38% of the invoice.

(Financial Assistance Program for Domestic Help Services)

Fixed financial assistance:

A fixed assistance of $4,00 per hour of service is granted to any person 18 and older who resides in Quebec and holds a health insurance card, regardless of income.

Variable financial assistance:

Aside from the $4,00 fixed assistance, a variable financial assistance is granted to any person 65 and older, as well as to people under 65 with a CLSC reference. The amount is determined based on income and family situation. The assistance varies between $2,63 and $21,04.

L’APPUI pour les proches aidants d’aînés

L’Appui pour les proches aidants d’aînés de Montréal supports the development of affordable quality serviceson the island of Montreal: guidance, respite, stimulation, training, information sessions, support groups. L’Appui Montréal is part of a network of 17 regional Appuis, financed by the gouvernement du Québec and the Chagnon family. This allows NOVaide to provide in-home respite services as well as vacation respite services at a very affordable rate ($6.20 to $12.20 based on the user income).

Tax credit

In addition to the fixed and variable subsidies, our services are eligible to the Tax Credit for Home-Support Services for seniors 70 and over.

The tax credit can reach as high as 38% of the expenses.
